Goal
The SOCOL-i model is being prepared to ingest real-time reconstructions of the VUV spectrum (milestone 5.3) to nowcast the state of the middle atmosphere.
Progress so far
- A publication on the model is in preparation: Egorova T., Rozanov E., Ozolin Y., and Schmutz W. The atmospheric effects of 2003 SPE simulated with chemistry-ionosphere-climate model SOCOL-i, in preparation for JGR, 2009.
- The SOCOL-i model has been adapted and tested to include the effect of solar proton events (SPEs)
Percentage towards the goal: 20%.
