Name: Start of exploitation of data from PROBA2, CORONAS & SDO

Lead Beneficiary: ROB

Beneficiaries involved: PMOD-WRC, ROB, UGEO, SRC-PAS, CNRS, LPI and others.

Due Date: Month 12 (Nov 2010)

Goal

Start of exploitation of data from PROBA2, CORONAS, SDO.

Progress so far

  • CORONAS-PHOTON was launched late Jan 2009, First result of the TESIS instruments, including SPHINX where shown at the Lapland Meeting. Currently CORONAS-PHOTON is in commissioning phase, analysis software is in finalisation.
  • PROBA2 launch is currently scheduled for September 9 2009.
  • SDO launch is scheduled for November 2009.

Problem areas

CORONAS-PHOTON is on track for a start of exploitation on the nominal due date of the present milestone. PROBA2 is marginally on track for this. The SDO launch comes too late for the nominal due date of the present milestone. As the spacecraft launches are determined outside the scope of SOTERIA, there is nothing that can be done. However no time, resources or opportunities will be lost as we can concentrate in a first phase on the available data from CORONAS-PHOTON.
