List of Holes Runs
All runs were done with JavaParsek. For each directory of results:
- film1 shows a combined color scatter plot of the electrons and ions in phase-space
- film2 shows the electron phase-space
- film3 shows the ion phase-space
Note: the numbers above each frame of the movies is the frame number. I use a dt=.1 and save every 200 cycles, meaning the frame number ought to be multiplied by 20 to obtain the time in cyclotron times (<math>\omega_{ci}t </math>. The total time of the simulations is 2000.

hole6
New case coordinated with Francesco. Mass ratio 1836, vthe/c=.05, L=2pi, Te=Ti. vbeams/c=+/- 0.08 Done electrostatic (JavaParsek). 1 million particles (per species as in the cases above) and 1028 cells

The usual problem of the definition of vth created trouble. The electromagnetic case (hole7) had initially a broader distribution of velocity. This was because the electrostatic code JavaParsek has vth square root of 2 times larger than in the electromagnetic code celeste. So I repeated it. The case with larger vth is saved as a subdirectory.
hole7
New case coordinated with Francesco. Mass ratio 1836, vthe/c=.05, L=2pi, Te=Ti. vbeams/c=+/- 0.08 Done electrostatic (JavaParsek). Electromagnetic 50 cells, 1000 particles per cell per species (=50,000 particles per species). B chosen so that wce=wpe.

A case with larger perturbation is saved as a subdirectory. The larger perturbation was 10% of the vbeam (raw data store as hole7) , the lesser one 1% (raw data store as hole7b).
hole8
Same as the standard case from hole1-2 but with relative drift reduced to 1.6, (i.e. +/- 0.8). VERY different, this is barely unstable. Needs redoing because it is surprising.
