Goal ___________________________________________________________________________________________________
The object of this activity is twofold: determine the characteristics of scintillations for signals transmitting through the ionosphere and find correlation with spoace weather parameters.
Progress so far _________________________________________________________________________________________________________
In the previous report it was shown that no scintillation occurs for the test cases events list selected.
A detailed study of the scintillation activity has been done for the year 2006 using data recorded at the equator. One week of particular interest was selected. The corresponding data and some additional features have been derived. Those results have been added to the catalogue of events produced by WP4.
It is now foreseen to study in more detail this week, in particular analysing additional parameters such as the magnetic activity to look for some correlation properties between the scintillation activity and the space weather parameters. This activity was discussed at Hvar workshop. It has been initiated and the results should be presented at the next workshop.

One additional action regarding assimilation technique for scintillation data has been initiated with Noveltis.
