Goal

Organization of the Summer School and annual meetings, minutes of the meetings

Progress so far

1) We have organized the kick-off meeting in Brussel in conjunction with the European Space Weather week, taking advantage of the synergistic opportunities and saving on the cost of the organization by coordinating with the organizers of the ESWW.

2) We have organized a special meeting devoted to creating networking and collaboration within Soteria. The meeting took place on 21-22 March 2009 in Lapland, in conjunction with the Space Climate school/symposium organized by beneficiary UOulu.

3) The first SB meeting took also place in Lapland.

4) The minutes of all meeting are kept in the wiki of the Soteria project and the presentations made available by the speakers are made available to anyone on the Soteria web site. online casino uk

5) A decision has been approved unanimously by the SB in a e-mail vote to hold separately a summer school in collaboration with the COST action on space weather and with the ICTP in Trieste. This decision will allow a much wider outreach for the Soteria results and will consist in a synergistic use of the money allocated for the school. A lot of the resources are available via the ICTP. Giovanni Lapenta from Soteria and one representative of the COST action will act as School directors.

6) The capacity building workshop will take place in Brussel and is managed by Beneficiary ROB.

7) The Summer School in Trieste has been officially announced and the advertised on our web site. Further organisation steps will be taken with COST and ICTP at the ESWW.
